Total flexibility for your communication services

Integrated Telephony System (STI) is a powerful and flexible comunication solution to erogate services of various kinds, for example monitoring and control and customer care. Based on VoIP technology, allow to operators to accede address books easily and with a simple touchscreen interface, and at the same time, to information of various types available in the network. Every installation may be composed by tens of operator workstations and the configuration of each workstations is dynamic: some information are set at the console's start, other information may be managed and modified in real time. The control of the entire system is possible by centralized applications and accessible by technical staff in controlled way.

Thanks to modularity, the usage possibilities of this system are infinite and EDALab supplies a complete support for every type of adjustment and use.

Architecture

STI system is composed by heterogeneous device which communicate with each other and which may change in base to service's tipology supplied, to interaction mode with other external systems, to customer needs and much more. The basic architecture may be described by this figure:

By reference to architecture diagram, main elements of the system are:

  • Multimedia Touchscreen Console:

    interaction device between information system and operator. By the console the operator may call telephone subscriber on different circuits, activate and monitor devices and visualize data of various kinds. The principal interaction is 'touch', without exclude mouse and keyboard if more comfortable. Communication may be through the main audiofon device like headset, speakerphone, handset. It is composed by a Graphical Interface (GUI - Graphic User Interface) and by a control (middleware) and communication sofwtare.
  • High Availability Server:

    the server contains centralized services (useful for all devices) like PBX with numeration plan, low level network services, shared file system and ad hoc configuration tools accessible by remote configuration interface.
  • Main system configuration:

    remote workstation configuration tool accessible by maintenance technicians through network. Maintenance technicians have the possibility to edit all system parameters. Optionally it is also possibile create different access right to selectively access to configuration interface.
  • External interfaces and sources:

    it is the part of the system relative to the external interface. This can change from installation to installation and it includes audio conversion modules and access channels to external data sources.
